We left the house when we were four,

And you brought us into the sea from the shore.

Then our destined voyage began right away,

To reach the unseen shore that was far away.

The waves were lashing high and low,

And we started our voyage with a vow.

When in our scuffle, catastrophe surrounds,

And happiness seems almost out of bounds,

You helped and led us in the right path,

And aided us to conquer, even the sea’s wrath.

You helped us to be courageous and put up a brave fight,

Which brought victory in a way that was ever right

You helped us remove the germ of failure,

And polished us like gold…so bright and pure!

You molded us in the most ingenious way,

And brought in our lives, hopeful rays.

We give ‘YOU’ the name ‘TEACHER’-the seven lettered word,

That is beyond the Seven Wonders of the World.

We are full of gratitude to you all along our way,

And wish you the warmest wishes of “Teacher’s Day”!

P.S. This poem happens to be a combined work by my friend Chand and me.

innocent and simple... but very valuable what has been conveyed!

I have had tremendous luck with teachers myself and can totally relate to the verse by you and Chand! :)

Good one!
